Sol Suberi Joins
TriActive as CEO and President AUSTIN, Tex.
(September 13, 2002) - TriActive, Inc. announced today
that Sol Suberi, a veteran executive in systems management,
has joined the company as president and CEO.
Suberi has nearly a decade of experience leading companies
focused on systems management. As the president of Systems
Management Solutions, Inc. (SMS) for six years, he successfully
introduced systems management software into large enterprises
such as Dun & Bradstreet, American Express, Ford
Motor Company, VISA and NYNEX. He subsequently became
CEO and chairman of The Kernel Group (TKG), a developer
of software solutions that enhance enterprise systems
management. Under his leadership, the company expanded
its operations to Europe and established worldwide sales
and support capabilities. Suberi successfully negotiated
the sale of TKG to Veritas Software in December 2001,
having previously negotiated the acquisition of SMS
by Platinum Technology (later acquired by Computer Associates).
“Sol has extensive experience in providing systems
management solutions to major enterprises. His track
record as the chief executive of market-leading companies
over the years, coupled with his success in building
businesses to achieve profitable objectives, will be
great assets to TriActive,” said board member
Thomas H. Peterson, a general partner of El Dorado Ventures.
“He complements the dedicated team already in
place as the company continues to serve its existing
customers and add new ones.”
Suberi began his career at IBM, where he spent 12 years
in senior marketing roles. He later served as senior
vice president of business applications at Cullinet
Software/Computer Associates and as vice president of
western operations for Legent Corporation. He received
his M.B.A. from California State University, Long Beach
